On Tuesday, February 23, 2010, Mayor Frank G. Jackson was joined by County Commissioner Peter Lawson Jones, Foodbank President Anne Goodman, Terrance C. Z. Egger, reporter for the Plain Dealer, Harvest for Hunger Co-Chair, Fred Nance of Squire, Sanders and Dempsey, LLP, and Judy Peters, President/CEO West Side Ecumenical Ministry for the 2010 Harvest for Hunger Campaign Kickoff. The Foodbank supplies approximately 456 member agencies including local hot meal sites, shelters, and food pantries. It is through the generosity and support to the Harvest for Hunger Campaign that we can continue to supply food to these agencies.
Mayor Jackson also recognized Joe Skrabec, City of Cleveland Community Development Communications Manager for years of hard work on the Harvest for Hunger campaigns with a proclamation. This event was held at the Cleveland Food Bank on South Waterloo Road in Cleveland. We are calling on you to please continue to give your support to our neighbors during these tough economic times. Donate today. Many families in our communities are counting on your support.
