This Division provides weekly collection of waste from 155,000 Cleveland homes, the West Side Market, Fire and Police Stations, the Justice Center, City Hall and other City buildings, and public areas.
It also places dumpsters at neighborhood events and community functions and plays an active role in special cleanup programs. Dumpsters are also available for commercial accounts and homeowners.
Free Shredding Event a Success! The Division of Waste Collection and All Ohio Secure Shred are pleased to report that Clevelanders brought over 18,000 pounds of paper during the August, 2010 shredding event, helping to KEEP CLEVELAND CLEAN AND GREEN!

Scrap Tire Round-up: October 4th to 9th, 2010 Cleveland residents may drop off old tires at the Division of Waste Collection. There is no charge for this service, and each household may drop off up to ten tires. more
Hazardous Waste Round-Up and Disposal Common products found in kitchens, basements, bathrooms and garages can emit toxic vapors into homes. These products can be harmful to the environment if not disposed of properly. Residents can safely dispose of them during the Round-Up. more
Automated Waste Collection, Curbside Recycling Expanding Beginning in April 2011, these programs will include an additional 25,000 households throughout the city who will receive two sturdy, wheeled city-issued carts to be use for curbside recycling and waste collection. more
Computer RoundUp Time Again! From August 2nd through September 3rd, the City of Cleveland and the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District will recycle unwanted computer equipment which will either be upgraded and distributed to schools or recycled.
