New Ohio Pet License Plates Now Available These plates raise funds for education, pet spaying and neutering (for low-income families), and for dogs and cats adopted from qualifying agencies. Even residents who have just renewed their plates can get them at any location that issues license plates, or by calling 1.800.589.TAGS. ASPCA Generous to Cleveland Pets and Owners The City of Cleveland is proud to acknowledge and thank the ASPCA for their generosity in awarding $35,636 in various grants in the year 2013 to the Division of Animal Control. The grants are a result of a dedicated partnership with the ASPCA and the Cleveland Animal Protective League. The various grants are being used to offer free identification and vaccinations to Cleveland residents and to decrease the number of animals euthanized at the shelter.
Cleveland Kennel Seeks Happy Homes for Adoptable Dogs The Kennel has many adoptable dogs waiting to find good homes and families. Some have been waiting over a month to be adopted or transferred to an animal rescue group. The Kennel is at 2690 West 7th St. and open for adoptions Monday - Saturday from 10am to 3pm. more
Stray Cat Sterilization Available Help is available for Cleveland residents concerned about the stray cat population. The City recently granted $10,000 to the Animal Protective League to help defray the cost of sterilization for feral cats. more
