Parks Recreation and Properties

This department is in charge of the maintenance of all City property including City Hall, and for administration of the following:

Recreation Division
Parking Facilities
Golf Courses
Street Trees
West Side Market

Recreation Centers and Pools
Convention Center
Parks and Playgrounds
Rockefeller Park Greenhouse
Cemeteries


Because its duties are broad-based, the department offers an array of services. Its diversely talented employees are also charged with planning recreation center activities, evaluating the City's on and off-street parking needs and providing the City with landscaping and site planning capabilities.

Whether they are accessed directly by Clevelanders or they work in tandem with other City divisions and departments, all Parks, Recreation and Properties Divisions are essential to the department's success. An Administrative Division implements and monitors all of the services and programs provided by this department.
