This program is designed to assist qualified buyers to purchase a rehabbed home in the City of Cleveland. Developers who have eligible projects may apply for the funds to be held for an appropriate buyer. Buyers cannot apply directly for the funds. Developers and contractors must be certified by the Department of Community Development to participate and may call 216.664.4000 to obtain a Contractor Certification application.

The second mortgage amounts are $10,000 or $20,000 dependent upon the location of the home. The second mortgage is forgivable after 10 years of residency in the home. Eligibility in the program is based on household size and household income.
To qualify, the house must be vacant and require at least $25,000 of work for a single family or $30,000 for a two-family structure. |
