Wednesday, March 1, 2017, Brookpark Road to IR-71

Expect additional traffic notices as work progresses

CLEVELAND – On March 1, 2017, as a part of the ongoing road improvements and upgrades along Pearl Road, the direction of traffic will be switching from the east side to the west side of Pearl Road between State Road to Brookpark Road. With this directional change the two-way traffic flow will be maintained. Motorists are asked to be alert for lane shifts and that we will continue to use barrels to direct traffic. These changes will remain in effect until July 2017.

The project extends along 2.95 miles of Pearl Road from Brookpark Road to IR-71. The upgrades and improvements include asphalt milling, pavement base repair, asphalt resurfacing, installation of ADA compliant ramps, curb and sidewalk replacement as needed, water main installation, and new pavement markings and new streetscape between State Road and Wildlife Way. The construction cost is $9.4 million and is scheduled for completion by December 2017.

Should there be any questions, please contact the City of Cleveland Project Inspector, James Miller at 216-857-0969.
